Marienberg in front of and behind the lens

Photography has played an important role at Marienberg Abbey over the past 150 years. In the beginning there was the collection of views and portraits: gradually, however, individual monks began to take up photography themselves. In this way an almost incalculable treasure of images was accumulated, providing unique insights into bygone worlds and times, especially the more recent history of Marienberg. Back to all exhibitions
